GIVEAWAY ~ Uneclipsing the Son

How many times have you been encouraged and convicted to read your Bible, pray, spend time daily with Jesus, and witness to others, only to leave your Bible closed, sleep in with no time for the Lord, and shrink away from sharing your faith? For most Christians, including myself, this is a regular occurrence. Wouldn’t it be nice to get ourselves and our “duties” out if the way so that we can see Jesus, the Son, clearly?

This week, I am extremely excited to give you the opportunity to win a copy of a new book written by Rick Holland! Dr. Holland, now a pastor from Kansas who has also spent 20+ years working with John MacArthur at Grace Community Church in California, also serves as the executive director of Resolved Conference and the DMin program at The Master’s Seminary. I’ve been privileged to hear Dr. Holland in person many times at summer camps and as a guest speaker at our church. He always captures my attention and gives Biblical, practical truth in a way that is easily understood.

From the back of this book:

Christ, the Son of God, has been eclipsed, and we’ve made ourselves at home in this new normal.

Escape the twilight of tepid religiosity to step into the broad daylight of the living Christ!

Christianity is the worship of Jesus Christ. If He is who the Bible says He is, and if He did what the Bible says He did, He is worthy of the exclusive, attention and focus pf our lives. Sadly, though, the Son gets crowded out by earthly things. Our hearts grow slack, our love runs cool, our worship is distracted. Even the treadmill of Christian activity can keep us ever unable to focus on the Author and Finisher of the race. We sip at puddles of sin a stone’s throw from the Well of the water of life.

Uneclipsing the Son aims at ending all this, bringing you face to face with the Christ of Scripture, the only one who can transform you just by knowing Him. Clear, biblical, compelling, Holland will drive you relentlessly to the conclusion that you must give yourself to the worship of this Jesus or forever stumble in the half-light of spiritual uncertainty and disaffection.

During the month of August, I will be reading this book and posting weekly on the chapters I read. I would LOVE for you to have a copy to go through along with me!
